Installer offers no new installations

The Windows installer maintains a "catalog" of what it has installed on a particular machine, but it's not bug-free. In prticular, if you removed the only version of the main MySQL product, but leave other MySQL products in place, the installer may fail to offer only to upgrade MySQL products it finds. That is, there is no "wrench" catalog icon to click.

The admittedly odd (not to mention inconvenient) solution is to uninstall all remaining MySQL products, then run the installer to install (and re-install) what's needed.
